Dear Musher,

The 2013 Kuskokwim 300 Sled Dog Race is fast approaching! This year the K300 is scheduled to start on Friday, January 18th 2013 at 6:30 PM. We hope you will join us this year! Sign up begins now! Mushers are encouraged to sign up early. Race start position is chosen in order of sign up at the pre-race Musher Drawing.

As always, participating in the K300 is a unique experience unlike any other sled dog race in the world. The K300 Race Committee arranges host housing for our out-of-town mushers and truck support to and from the airport as well as to and from the race start and finish. Furthermore, this year the K300 Race Committee has voted to raise the purse 10% across the board. That means this year’s purse is guaranteed to be $110,000 with the race winner receiving $22,000!

The 2013 entry fee is $400 plus $100 for the K300 Mile membership fee. Late entries (received after Jan. 1, 2013) will be $800 plus the K300 Mile.

Race date - Friday, January 18, 2013 at 6:30PM

Entry and Application - To enter the 2013 K300 you must fill out and return a 2013 K300 Musher Application and a Mileage Sponsorship Form. Please return both forms and the total paymert ($500 before January 1; $900 after January 1) to the K300 Race Committee.

Trail - The trail for the 2013 K300 is tentatively scheduled to run from Bethel to Akiachak to Tuluksak to Klaskag to Aniak to Whitefish Lake and then back to Kalskag, Tuluksak, Akiachak and Bethel.
